7 Inspirational Quotes From Stephen King

7 inspirational quotes from Stephen King

Stephen King is one of the most prolific surviving writers.  In almost three decades, he has created a literary world full of characters, stories, and emotions.

Although his literature is based on psychological horror, he has left behind, if at all, a quote that has inspired us. That’s why we want to share them here so that hopefully they can do their magic and make a positive impact on you too:

1. “The scariest moment is always just before you start.”

How often have you felt fear just thinking about everything you should do?  In everything between earth and sky, from acknowledging your love to jumping from an airplane, there is a moment just before you do it, crammed full of adrenaline and emotion.

We cannot deny that doing so will give rise to a series of conflicting feelings. The most important part is to take this step,  and not allow fear to settle in your way with cross-rolls.

When you get started and take the first step towards your dream, you will experience a lot of fear. But keep moving forward, and don’t stop!

2. “Fiction is the truth within a lie.”

This is an excellent quote from Stephen King that speaks to the value of fiction. We tend to think that fiction is just a set of entertaining stories, but it tends to tell us more about life than anything else.

Think about it in real life and you will find that the messages we hide in our stories contain in themselves the deepest truths of each of us ; even the ones you would never dare tell anyone.

Anyone who thinks that taking the first step to achieve any goal or goal guarantees success is wrong.  Still, this shouldn’t limit you, but instead get you to take action.  You need this to do a lot of courage; courage that you can only find deep within your own innermost being.

Once you start, overcoming challenges and obstacles is just one step on your journey. Grab the challenges with the horns one at a time.

4. “The monsters are right and the ghosts are real too. They live within us and sometimes they win. ”

Stephen King is a direct expert on this topic. Throughout his life, he has suffered from many problems that have helped him create the awesome and wonderful worlds of his books.

Think about it: how many times have voices in your own head prevented you from doing what you really want to do? When you listen to voices that tell you repeatedly that you are not able to feel that you are not good enough or that your failure will cripple you and leave your feet glued to the ground, it will prevent you from moving forward in your life.

Don’t let your internal dialogue control you. Only and only you will be able to defeat the monsters inside your head.

5. “Optimism is a fully valid response to failure.”

Failure is a very complex concept.  We tend to view it as a problem, but it’s also a back door to opportunity. The only person who can decide what a failure is and how long it prevents or slows you down is you.

You have the opportunity to see failure as something extremely negative, or to view it with extreme optimism.  If you choose the latter, you will be that close to success.

6. “Amateurs sit waiting for inspiration, the rest of us get up and go to work.”

While we can’t say Stephen King has the most ordinary job, it is not easy for him or anyone else to continue his  daily life from day to day.

Can you imagine how many people have wonderful ideas for starting a business, writing books, or tinkering with other activities? But those ideas are completely worthless if they are not implemented  and turned into reality.

Fiction helps us escape.  We read and create to escape the challenges that life poses to us.  You can write, paint, dance, or do anything that helps you break free from your own thoughts.

Such activities can help you deal with moments and situations that are harmful to you. It doesn’t matter how easy your life may seem at first glance,  surely you too need to deceive yourself every now and then.

Through his words, Stephen King offers us wonderful lessons about life. If you haven’t read any of his many literary masterpieces yet, now is a good time to do so. You will find that his words are not only inspiring, but also capable of capturing you in a world like no other.
